Abstract:
Anti-Leishmania donovani antibodies persistence in past Visceral Leishmaniasis (VL) cases was retrospectively assessed by means of Direct Agglutination Test (DAT) and rK39 ELISA. Antibody titres remained high for an extended period of time in past VL. These results highlight the need to carefully elicit the history of patients with VL symptoms.
